Ozone layer is present in the troposphere layer of atmosphere at distance of 40-50 km from the surface of the earth. It is blue in color and has protective properties.
It prevents the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun from reaching the earth's surface and prevents cancers and skin burns fro UV rays.
