Hi,

It is important to note that ozonolysis is a reaction which normally takes place when ozone reacts with alkenes and the resultant product is either an aldehyde or a ketone depending on how alkene is substituted.

But in this case for the ozonolysis of toluene also known as methyl benzene, the product is one mole of methyl glyoxal and two moles of glyoxal
