Annyeong... :)

 ({p + 2)}^{2}  = ( {p + 5)}^{2}  \\  \\

first , expanding ( p+2)^2

( {p + 2)}^{2}  \\  \\  =  {p}^{2}  +  {2}^{2}  + 2 \times 2 \times p \\  \\  =  {p}^{2}  + 4 + 4p  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

equation 1. - (p^2 + 4 + 4p)

now,

(p-5)^2

 ({p - 5)}^{2}  \\  \\  =  {p}^{2}   +   {5}^{2}  - 2 \times 5 \times p \\  \\  =  {p}^{2}  + 25 - 10p \\  \\

so,

our second equation is (p^2 + 25 - 10p)

______________________________

now,

by combining them...

 {p}^{2}  + 4 + 4p =  {p}^{2}  + 25 - 10p \\  \\ 4p + 4 =  25 - 10p \\  \\4p + 10p = 25 - 4 \\  \\ 14p  = 21 \\  \\ p =  \frac{21}{14}

so,

the value of p is 21/14 or 3/2
