\longrightarrow{\green{}}  ( -  {p}^{2}  + 2p)  + ( {p}^{2} )

Remove parenthesis.

\longrightarrow{\green{}}    -  {p}^{2}  + 2p +  {p}^{2}

Collect like terms.

\longrightarrow{\green{}}   ( -  {p}^{2}  +  {p}^{2})   +  2p

\longrightarrow{\green{}}   0 + 2p

\longrightarrow{\green{}}   \boxed{    2p}
