EXPLANATION.

P(-3,2) is the mid point of the line segment.

As we know that,

In ΔABC.

Point A  and B intersects line.

Point B lies on x-axis.

Their Co-ordinates = (x,0).

Point A lies on y-axis.

Their Co-ordinates = (0,y).

As we know that,

Formula of :

⇒ Mid-point = (x + y)/2.

Using this formula in the equation, we get.

⇒ [(x + 0)/2, (0 + y)/2] = (-3,2).

⇒ (x + 0)/2 = - 3.

⇒ x + 0 = - 6.

⇒ x = - 6.

⇒ (0 + y)/2 = 2.

⇒ y = 4.

Co-ordinates of point A = (0,4).

Co-ordinates of point B = (-6,0).
