<b><I>
let P(a,b) is midpoint of line joining the points
A(h,0) B(0,k)
here P= mid point of AB
=>
(ab) = (\frac{h + 0}{2} , \frac{0 + k}{2} ) \\ (ab) = (\frac{h}{2} ,\frac{k}{2} ) \\ a = \frac{h}{2},b = \frac{k}{2} \\
intercept form of AB ;
 \frac{x}{h} + \frac{y}{k} = 1 \\ \frac{x}{2a} + \frac{y}{2b} = 1 \\ \frac{1}{2} ( \frac{x}{a} + \frac{y}{b} ) = 1 \\ \frac{x}{a} + \frac{y}{b} = 2
hence proved
