Given :   P’ alone can do a job in 10 days. ‘Q’ alone can do the same job in 20 days.

Capacity of R to do the job is in the range from that of P and Q.

To Find :   The maximum number of days all three working together would take to complete the task is

Solution:

P  alone can do a job in 10 days

=> P one day work  = 1/10

Q alone can do a job in 20 days

=> Q one day work  = 1/20

R  , 1 day work range from  1/20  to   1/10

The maximum number of days  when R  = 1/20

Hence 1 day work    1/10  +  1/20 + 1/20

= ( 4 /20)

= 1/5

=>Maximum  5 Days to complete the task

Additional info :

and The minimum number of days  when R  = 1/10

1/10 + 1/20  + 1/10

= ( 2 + 1 + 2)/20

=  1/4

=>Minimum 4  Days to complete the task

Hence between 4 days and 5 Days hey will complete the work
