The work will be completed in 7/6 more days

Step-by-step explanation:

P can harvest field in days = 5

P's 1 day work = \frac{1}{5}

Q can harvest field in days = 7

Q's 1 day work = \frac{1}{7}

(P+Q)'s 1 day work = \frac{1}{5}+\frac{1}{7}=\frac{12}{35}

P did work for 3 days

P's 3 day work = \frac{3}{5}

Remaining work =  1-\frac{3}{5}

Remaining work = \frac{2}{5}

(P+Q) did \frac{12}{35} work in days = 1

(P+Q) did work in days = \frac{35}{12}

(P+Q) did  \frac{2}{5} work in days = \frac{35}{12} \times \frac{2}{5}=\frac{7}{6}

Hence the work will be completed in 7/6 more days
