\bf{\red{\underline{1).\;Cohesive\;Force:}}}

The attractive force which exist between molecules of the same substance and cause a tendency in liquids to resist separation are called cohesive force.

★ These include force due to hydrogen bonding and Van der Waals forces.

★ Example: force of attraction between water molecules.

\bf{\red{\underline{2).\;Inter-molecular\;Space:}}}

★ Intermolecular space is the space between two molecule or atom. In solid it is very little, in liquids is more than solids but less than liquids and in the gas it is maximum.

\bf{\red{\underline{3).\;Diffusion:}}}

★ It is the spontaneous movement of molecules from a region of high concentration to the region of low concentration.

\bf{\red{\underline{4).\;Fusion:}}}

★ Fusion is a process by which two or more atomic nuclei join together or fuse to form a single heavier nucleus.
