Area of Q = 50 y cm²

Area of Q = Area of P - (10/100) Area of P

=> Area of Q = (90/100)Area of P

=> 10 * Area of Q = 9 * Area of P

=> 10 * 50y = 9 * 40 x

=> 50y = 36x

=> x/y = 50/36
