than q will become 60% less than p i.e. q=p-60% of p

q= p-0.6p hence,

q=0.4p

or q=0.4x

Now since p is also greater than r by 30%

which means that r is smaller than p by 30%

hence r=p-30% of p

r=p-0.3p hence

r=0.7p

or r=0.7x

Now we have to find the ratio of q and r which is q/r

since q is 0.4x and r is 0.7x

that means q/r=0.4x/0.7x

removing x from denominator and numerator we get our ratio as,

q/r=4/7
