P nitrophenol is more acidic then p methyl phenol.why?

p nitrophenol is more acidic than p methyl phenol because methyl is electron donating group and nitro is electron withdrawing group. more electron withdrawing group is more acidic. so, p nitrophenol is more acidic than p methyl phenol
