Answer:

Data given:

Ratio in which P, Q and R enter in to partnership = 3 : 2 : 1

To find:

Part of Profit gained by R = ?

Solution:

P, Q and R will share the profit in the ratio of their time and money invested ( time x money)

Given that money invested by all the three is in the ratio 3 : 2 : 1

Now as given in question P has invested his money for 4 months

So For P,

Investment = Time x Money

= 4 x 3 = 12

Q has invested his money for 8 months

So for Q,

Investment = 8 x 2 = 16

R has invested his money 12 months

So, For R,

Investment = 12 x 1 = 12

Therefore P : Q : R = 12 : 16: 12 = 3 : 4 : 3

Now assume that total profit is Rs. 100

Out of this 10% is more given to R for managing the business.

So, Actual Profit = Rs. 90

Thus, R gets a total profit of,

= 10% +[3/(3 + 4 + 3) x 90] %

= 10% + [(3/10) x 90]%

= 10% + 27%

= 37% profit.
