P, Q and R together can do a work in 27 days. They together work for 17 days and after that R left the work and the remaining work is done by P and Q together in 16⅔ days. Work done by P in 4 days is equal to workdone by R in 3 days. Then, find the time taken by P alone to do this work?

Answer:

90 days

Step-by-step explanation:

In 1 day

p+q+r = 1/27 part of work

they worked for 17 days

work done = 17/27

remaining work =1-(17/27) = 10/27

this part is done by p+q in 16 2/3 days

d1/w1 =d2/w2

16 2/3/(10/27) =d2/1

50×27/3×10 =d2=45

whole work done by p+q in 45 days

work done by r in 1 day = 1/27 -1/45 = 2/135

work done by r in 3 days = 6/135=2/45

=work done by p in 4 days

=> work done by p in 1 day =2/(45×4) =1/90

no.of days taken by p to do 1whole work = 90 days

hope this helps
