Let the x be 0.333...

x = 0.333... (1st equ.)

10x = 3.333... (2nd equ.) (multiplying 10 to both side)

Subtracting 1st equation from 2nd info

$10x - x = 3.333... - 0.333... \\ \\ 9x = 3 \\ \\ x = \frac{3}{9} \\ \\ x = \frac{1}{3}$
