The share of p is 10,500.

Explanation:

Given:

P, Q& R subscribe Rs. 50,000 for a business.

P subscribes Rs. 4000 more than Q and Q Rs. 5000 more than R.

To Find:

The share of P.

Solution :

  • Assumption :

The amount subscribed to R as y.

So,

  • Q = y + 5000
  • P = y + 5000 + 4000 = y + 9000

Hence,

⇒ y + y + 5000 + y + 9000

⇒ 50000

⇒ 3y = 36000

⇒ y = 12000

Now,

⇒ P: Q: R

⇒ 21000 : 17000 : 12000

⇒ 21: 17: 12

Hence,

P's share :

\implies \sf 25000 \times \dfrac{21}{50} = \bf Rs. 10,500.

ANSWER:

P WILL GET ₹ 10,500

GIVEN:

  • P, Q, R subscribe rs. 50,000 for a business.

  • P subscribes ₹ 4,000 more than Q and Q subscribes ₹ 5,000 more than R.

  • Total profit of ₹ 25,000.

TO FIND:

P's share = ??

EXPLANATION:

P + Q + R = ₹ 50,000

P = ₹ 4,000 + Q

Q = ₹ 5,000 + R

P = ₹ 4,000 + ₹ 5,000 + R

P = ₹ 9,000 + R

Substitute the values of P, Q, R in

P + Q + R = ₹ 50,000

₹ 9,000 + R + ₹ 5,000 + R + R = 50,000

3R + ₹ 14,000 = 50,000

3R = ₹36,000

R = ₹ 12,000

Substitute R = ₹ 12,000 in P = ₹ 9,000 + R

P = ₹ 9,000 + ₹ 12,000

P = ₹ 21,000

  \displaystyle Let \:  \: x  \: \: be \: \:  the \:  \: value \:  \:of \:  \: P's \:  \: share \\  \\ \frac{21000}{50000}  \times 100 =  \frac{x}{25000}  \times 100 \\  \\ \\ \frac{21000}{50000}  =  \frac{x}{25000}   \\  \\ \\ x =  \frac{21000}{50000}  \times 25000 \\  \\ \\ x =  \frac{21000}{2}  \\  \\ \\ x = Rs.10500

HENCE P WILL GET ₹ 10,500 AS HIS SHARE.
