P speaks truth in 60 percent of the cases while q speaks truth in 70 percent of cases. In what percentage of cases, are they likely to contradict each other?

Splitting on the basis of p.

p speaking truth is 60% :

In that 60% chance q speaking truth is 70%. making it overall 42% (70% of 60). Similarly q speaking false is 30% making it overall 18%. This is while p speaking truth.

p speaking false is 40%:

q speaking truth is 28%,false is 12%.

So both speaking truth is 42% +both speaking false is 12% =54%
