Given : P varies with position x as P = sinx ,

To find : The mean error in P if mean error in x is ∆x.

solution : relation between P and x is given by,

P = sinx.

differentiating both sides we get,

⇒ dP = d(sinx)

⇒dP = cosx dx

⇒∆P = cosx ∆x

Therefore mean error in P , ∆P = cosx ∆x.
