p(x)=2x^3-13x^2+23x-12
s(x)=2x-3

s(x)=0{zero of the polynomial}

2x-3=0
=>x=3/2=1.5

p(1.5)=2*(1.5)^3-13*(1.5)^2+23*(1.5)-12
=-69
hence remainder =-69

hence quotient =p(x)/(s(x)-(-69))=x^2-5x-19(using long division)

hope I have helped u..
