Answer: -d/c

Step-by-step explanation:

p(x)=cx+d

p(x)= 0 ( as we have to find the zero of the polynomial p(x))

so,

cx+d=0 (as p(x)=0)

cx=-d

x=-d/c

now inserting -d/c in the above given polynomial

so,

p(-d/c)=c x (-d/c) +d

p(-d/c)= -d+d (as c gets cancelled by the c in division )

p(-d/c)=0 (as -d got cancelled by +d)

so,

after the whole calculation -d/c is the zero of the polynomial p(x).

Hope, it helps
