Answer :-

Given :-

  • p(x) = x + 2

To Find :-

  • p(1)
  • p(2)
  • p(-1)
  • p(-2)
  • Zero of the polynomial

Solution :-

p(x) = x + 2

Substituting the value of x as 1 :-

→ p(1) = 1 + 2

p(1) = 3

Substituting the value of x as 2 :-

→ p(2) = 2 + 2

p(2) = 4

Substituting the value of x as -1 :-

→ p(-1) = -1 + 2

p(-1) = 1

Substituting the value of x as -2

→ p(-2) = -2 + 2

p(-2) = 0

Equating p(x) to zero :-

→ p(x) = x + 2 = 0

→ x = -2

Zero of the polynomial = -2

Answer:

Given :-

p(x) = x + 2

To Find :-

p(1)

p(2)

p(-1)

p(-2)

Solution :-

 \sf \: p(1) = 1 + 2

 \sf \: p(1) = 3

Now,

 \sf \: p(2) = 2 + 2

 \sf \: p(2) = 4

Now,

 \sf \: p( - 1) = - 1 + 2

 \sf \: p(-1) = 1

Now,

 \sf \: p( - 2) = - 2 + 2

 \sf \: p( - 2) = 0

So,

The zeroes of polynomial is -2
