ANSWER

Given,

P(1)=0

⇒x=1

⇒x−1=0...........(1)

P(−2)=0

⇒x=−2

⇒x+2=0.............(2)

From (1) and (2), we get,

∴(x−1)(x+2)=0

x2+2x−x−2=0

x2+x−2=0
