Answer:

LET P(x) = x²-1

put x= 1

=> p(1) = (1)²-1

= 1-1

= 0

At p(1) =0

now put x = -1

=> p(-1) = (-1)²-1

= 1-1

= 0

At p(-1) = 0

Hence , 1 and -1 are both the zero's of polynomial.

p(x) = x^2 -1

If x=1,

p(1) = 1^2 -1

      = 1-1

      = 0

hence p(1) = 0

If x=-1,

p(-1) = (-1)^2 -1

       = 1-1

       =0

hence p(-1) = 0

Hope this helps!!
