Answer:

yes it is a factor

remainder is 0

(X+1) is a factor

X+1 = 0

X= -1

p(-1) = (-1)³+1

-1+1

= 0

so it is a factor

remainder is 0

first of all

p(x)=x^3+1

q(x)=x+1

ok.

the answer is -3

because when you divide the p(x) and g(x) the remainder is -3 therefore x+3 is the factor
