p(x) = x + 3
p(-x) = -x+3
⇒p(x) + p(-x) = (x + 3) + (-x + 3)
⇒p(x) +p(-x) = 6
p(-x) = -x+3
⇒p(x) + p(-x) = (x + 3) + (-x + 3)
⇒p(x) +p(-x) = 6

IF
p(x)=x+3
thenp(-x)= -x+3
So,p(x)+p(-x)= (x+3) + (-x+3)
= 6
