Given:

  • p(x)=x⁽³ˣ⁾+5

To find:

  • Value of p(-2)

Solution:

To find value of p(-2), put value of x=-2

» p(-2)=(-2)³⁽⁻²⁾+5

» p(-2)=-2⁻⁶+5

To make exponent of 2 in +ve, we have to reciprocate it.

» p(-2)=[1]/[(-2)⁶]+5

» p(-2)=1/(-64)+5

Taking LCM

» p(-2)=(1+-320)/(-64)

» p(-2)=-319/-64

» p(-2)=319/64

This is the required answer.
