Solution

Given, p(x)=x 2 −4x+3=x 2 −3x−x+3=x(x−3)−1(x−3)=(x−3)(x−1)

For zeroes of polynomial, p(x)=0i.e. (x−3)(x−1)=0or, x=3 or x=1Let, α=3 and β=1α+β= a−b αβ= ac Here, a=1b=−4c=3α+β=4αβ=3
