Answer:

g(x) = x+ 2

x + 2 = 0

x = -2

putting the value of x

p(-2) = (-2)^2 + 9× (-2) + 20

p(-2) = 4 - 18 + 20

p(-2) = 24 - 18

p(-2) = 6

Question:-

P(x) = x² + 9x + 20 is divided by x + 2

Solution:-

P(x) = x² + 9x + 20

Using factor theorem

P(x) is divided by x + 2

So;

p( - 2) = x² + 9x + 20

Now put the value of on x

=> ( - 2 )² + 9 × -2 + 20

=> 4 - 18 + 20

=> 24 - 18

=> 6

Remainder = 6
