Hi ,

P( x ) = x³ - 3x² - 2x + 6

If x = √2 ,

P( √2 )= ( √2 )³ - 3 ( √2 )² - 2( √2 ) + 6

= 2√2 - 6 - 2√2 + 6

= 0
