Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

the line segment joining A( - 2, 7) and B in the ratio 3:2 , find the coordinates of B. ... AP:PB=m:n, then we say that P divides internally AB in the ratio m:n. ... 1)⇒(1,1)=(3+23x2+(2×−2),3+23y2+(2×7))⇒(1,1)=(53x2−4 ...

Given:-

x1 = 2

x2 = 4

y1 = 3

y2 = 5

m = 3

n = 2

x = {mx2+nx1}/(m+n)

= {3(4)+ 2(2)}/ 3+2

= {12+4}/5

= 16/5

x = 3.2

y = {my2+ny1}/(m+n)

= {3(5)+ 2(3)}/ 3+2

= {15+6}/5

= 21/5

y = 4.2

Therefore the coordinates of p are (3.2 , 4.2)
