The given polynomial is :-
P(y) = 4y²- 4y + 1
This polynomial can easily be expressed as :-
P(y) = (2y)² - 2*2y*1 + (1)²
This is in the form of a²-2ab+b²
We can factorise it as :-
(a - b) ²
So ,
P(y) = (2y-1)²
P(y) = (2y-1)(2y-1)
So ,
The Zeroes are:-
2y - 1 =0
Or, 2y = 1
Or, y = 1/2
So,.the Zeroes of p(y) are 1/2 and 1/2
P(y) = 4y²- 4y + 1
This polynomial can easily be expressed as :-
P(y) = (2y)² - 2*2y*1 + (1)²
This is in the form of a²-2ab+b²
We can factorise it as :-
(a - b) ²
So ,
P(y) = (2y-1)²
P(y) = (2y-1)(2y-1)
So ,
The Zeroes are:-
2y - 1 =0
Or, 2y = 1
Or, y = 1/2
So,.the Zeroes of p(y) are 1/2 and 1/2
