this is a theorem not a question.

it says that if a number is in in the form of p and q like

 \frac{7}{10}

so in this if the denominator q has 2 and 5 prime factors then when we divide the number the decimal expansion will terminate. in above number 7÷10 = 0.7 which terminates(terminate means end) after one point of decimal because 10 has prime factors 2 and 5. there are non terminating numbers also like 7÷3 now here the denominator doesn't have prime factors 2 or 5 so the answer comes 2.3333333333333... and to infinity and this will not end. so it is a non terminating decimal.
