Explanation:
Deviation :
A light slightly diverges from it's path due to a change in the medium is known as deviation of light
Dispersion :
When a white light is allowed to pass through a prism it get refracted into 7 colours. This splitting of white light into its constituent is known as dispersion of light

Answer:
Difference between deviation and dispersion :
Dispersion:
Let us consider a polychromatic light (white light) being passed through a prism. Upon subsequent refraction, the white light is split into it's component colours ( monochromatic components).
This splitting of light is called Dispersion.
Deviation:
It refers to the degree of change in path of light when light passes from one medium to another.
The basis of deviation is "Refraction".
Different monochromatic colours show different degree of deviation.
For example: Red light shows least deviation while Violet light shows highest deviation.
