Three differences between producers and consumers are -

1. Producers can produce their own food while consumers cannot make their own food. Consumers depend on producers for food.
2. Producers are called autotrophs while consumers are known as heterotrophs.
3. Producers contain chlorophyll for the process of photosynthesis while consumers lack it.
4. Example of producers is plants, bacteria and example of consumers is animals.
