2. Respect for elders
3. Care for all the living beings
4. Purity and truthfulness

Some characteristics of Ashoka dhamma's:

1. People should live in peace and harmony.

2. People should be truthful, charitable, and kind to all, even towards servants, and slaves.

3. Children should obey their elders and elders should treat children with understanding.

4. Everyone should practise the principle of ahimsa,i.e., non-violence and nkn-injury to all living beings.
