Whew! The title is in Tagalog and it talks about “How to Move On.”
If you’ve read my blogs, you would notice that this is not my usual post. Haha!
A few days ago, Jhet van Ruyven told me: “Sha, let’s shoot some videos. Ask me anything.” (Yes, Jhet arrived in Manila all the way from Canada last week. She’s so excited to meet you on Jan 25!)
And that’s what we did. We went to the pool area of this beautiful condo in Rockwell and we started shooting videos. We were having fun doing it. After which, Jhet asked her assistant to upload the videos on Youtube.
One of my candid questions to Jhet was:
Paano nga ba magmove on pag heartbroken ka? Paano pag sinabihan kang “It’s not you. It’s me.”
I didn’t even know why I asked that question. Haha! Perhaps because I read in her book The Tale of Juliet that she was deeply heartbroken before.
Jhet’s answers took me by surprise. Here’s the 7-minute video

I then posted the link in my Facebook account. When I woke up the next day, I saw a text from a friend who said she watched the interview and she was deeply touched and she said she direly needed to hear those words. I checked what time she sent me the message and it was in the middle of the night!
Wow! I never thought a simple video Jhet and I candidly shoot would impact someone so deep.
In the past few days, I witnessed first hand how Jhet touched and inspired people in a deep way.
A Talk for Jose Rizal University Students
When I gave a talk to Jose Rizal University (JRU) students last Friday (Jan 17, 2014), I brought Jhet with me because it so happened that she was an alumna of that university!
Towards the end of my talk, I told a story about a poor little girl (Jhet) who DREAMED BIG and who is now a successful author and entrepreneur. And I surprised them by calling Jhet in front to talk for 5 mins.
The students loved Jhet van Ruyven! They saw a visual and live representation of their future in her. They urged Jhet to talk more. They were hungry for inspiration.

They wanted to learn more. That’s when Jhet and I decided to give scholarship to them so they could attend our Jan 25 seminar for free. We asked them why they wanted to attend the seminar and their answers floored me and Jhet.
As an advocacy, Jhet and I decided to sponsor 100 students from JRU to attend our Jan 25 event for free.
Jhet didn’t mind traveling all the way to the Philippines from Canada for a chance to inspire you thru our event.
Make the most out of Jhet’s presence while she’s here in Manila. This is a once-in-a year event only. We’re planning to do the next run on January 2015! Whew! That’s one year from now.
