Pada himpunan P dan Q diketahui n(P)=15 dan n(Q)=24 dan n(PUQ)=3².nilai n (PnQ) adalah

Given :-

  • n(P) = 15
  • n(Q) = 24
  • n(PUQ) = 32

To Find :-

  • n(PnQ) = ?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • n(A U B) = n(A) + n(B) - n(A ∩ B)

So,

→ n(P U Q) = n(P) + n(Q) - n(P ∩ Q)

→ n(P ∩ Q) = n(P) + n(Q) - n(P U Q)

Putting values now, we get,

→ n(P ∩ Q) = 15 + 24 - 32

→ n(P ∩ Q) = 39 - 32

→ n(P ∩ Q) = 7 (Ans.)

Hence, n(P ∩ Q) is equal to 7 .
