Phenolphtalein is colourless in its original colour .When phenolphtalein is added to acid, it remains colourless.

Base + Phenolphtalein

Phenolphtalein is colourless in its original colour .When phenolphtalein is added to a base , it become pink.

Acid + Methyl orange

Methyl orange is orange in its colour.When acid reacts with methyl it gives pink colour.
