paheli went to the market to buy saree for her mother she took out a thread from the edge of 2 sarees shown by the shopkeeper and Burn them one thread burn with the smell of burning hair and other burned with the smell of burning paper which thread is from a pure cotton sarees and which one from a pure silk saree? give reason for your answer.

when a silk thread is burnt it gives a smell of burning meat.Cotton thread when burnt give the smell of paper.

And wool burnt gives us smell of burning hair.

This a great idea to check the quality and material of saree.It was the technique followed by our ancestor while buying the cloths.
