2.cash a/c - real a/c .

3.discount a/c - nominal a/c .

1-Personal account:debit the reciver

:credit the giver.

2-Real account:debit what comes in,

: credit whats goess out.

3-nominal account :debit all expenses and losses .

:credit all income and gain.

here cash is paid to ramesh nd discount received.

so, ramesh is receiving so his account will be debited .

here cash is going out and hence this account will be credited.

and discount is received so this account will be credited.

the journal entry will be.

ramesh a/c dr - 20000

to cash a/c 19800 -

to discount received a/c 200 -

(being cash paid to ramesh and discount received)
