दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के पूर्व कुलपति दिनेश सिंह ने कहा कि इंदिरा ने कभी भी संस्थानों के कामकाज में हस्तक्षेप नहीं किया और वे संरक्षित संस्थानों का सामना करती हैं।

After all this finally Indira Gandhi emerged as one of the powerful politicians of the world.
3. Emergency : when Indira Gandhi was caught guilty of electoral malpractice. After this all the opposition leader demanded that Indira Gandhi should be thrown out of the Parliament and she should resign from the Prime Minister position. After seeing this Indira Gandhi declared emergency in the entire country and in this all the big politician and people were imprisoned. And at the same time population was increasing at a higher rate so Indira Gandhi ask her officers for sterilization and this was the reason why people voted against her in next election.
