Known :

  • Motor I = 2 years
  • Motor II = 3 years
  • Initial Price = Rp. 16,000,000 / motorbike
  • Selling Price = 75% from the previous year
  • Selling Price = 75/100 = 3/4 of the previous year.

Selling price of motorbike I (2 years)

We are looking for it gradually, first we look for motorcycle prices after 1 year. Then we look for motorbike prices after 2 years by 75% times the motorbike price after 1 year.

HJ = Selling price after 1 year

HJ = 75% x Rp. 16,000,000

HJ = 3/4 x Rp. 16,000,000

HJ = 3 x Rp. 4,000,000

HJ = Rp. 12,000,000

HJ = Selling price after 2 years

HJ = 75% x Rp 12,000,000

HJ = 3/4 x Rp 12,000,000

HJ = 3 x Rp 3,000,000

HJ = IDR 9,000,000

Selling price of motorbike II (3 yrs)

Next we look for the price of a 3-year motorbike.

HJ = 75% x 2 year selling price

HJ = 3/4 x Rp. 9,000

HJ = 3 x Rp 2,250,000

HJ = IDR 6,750,000

The final resolution is to sum up the 2-year motorcycle price with a 3-year motorcycle as the Total Selling Price.

Total Selling Price

= 2-year motorbike + 3-year motorbike

= IDR 9,000,000 + IDR 6,750,000

= Rp. 15,750,000

So, the total price if the two motorbikes are sold is IDR 15,750,000
