It's just a pure play of tactics. Maybe we are very happy but truth is simply the other.
They shot the plane and captured our pilot, Not only for the matter of defense but also to get some bits and clues on our plan to attack Pakistan. They didn't get much of any evidences. They soon, could play with our emotions by torturing him. But if they do so, they are violating Jeneva agreement and can lead to further protest of International community.
Hence, their aloof PM announced "As a step towards peace with India we release Indian pilot in captivity".
It's all a game. I'm happy for our brave Wing commander, that he is returning India safely. But still, a little offended by dirty tactics played by Pakistan.
