Hello Friend
Pollen is widely used as fossils and in palentological study because it has two layers which are made up of different compositions.
Inner layer is made up of sporopollenin which is the most resistance organic material so it can withstand High temperature, pressure and even bacteria cannot degrade it.

Paleontology, also spelled palaeontology or palæontology, is the scientific study of life that existed prior to, and sometimes including, the start of the Holocene Epoch. It includes the study of fossils to classify organisms and study interactions with each other and their environments.Paleoparasitology (or "palaeoparasitology") is the study of parasites from the past, and their interactions with hosts and vectors; it is a subfield of Paleontology, the study of living organisms from the past
