Hi friend,

This is because the pancreas secretes pancreatic juice through ducts. But pancreas also secretes insulin and some other hormones directly into the bloodstream. This is why pancreas is endocrine as well as exocrine.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU:-))

Pancreas is both exocrine as well as endocrine gland. It is an exocrine gland because it has a duct to store pancreatic juice secreted by the pancreas and use it whenever required.
Pancreas is an elongated flattened organ which lies behind the stomach, attached to the first section of the small intestine by a duct ( pipe ) that transports it' s digestive juice to the intestine.
It is also considered as a endocrine gland as it does not have a duct to store the hormones insulin and glucagon which are directly supplied to the blood stream.

Hope my answer will help you.
Thank you.
