Although most pandas now live in Panda Shelters, in the wild, the giant pandas are usually found only in the remote and the mountainous regions of central China, especially in the provinces of Sichuan, Gansu, and Shaanxi.
These places are cool and have wet bamboo forests which are the perfect place to meet the needs of the giant pandas.
The Giant pandas build their own dens from the logs that have been hollowed-out or by using the stumps of the conifer trees that are found in the forest.
They are loners and they prefer living alone rather than living with other pandas around. They build huge territories for themselves and they secrete a waxy scent which acts like a marker which they keep rubbing on their territories.
