Answer:

The first one got a better deal as his per table fan cost is lesser tha 2nd one

Step-by-step explanation:

Pankaj :

3 table fan = Rs. 3200

1 table fan = Rs. 3200 / 3

=> \sf\large\underline\blue{Rs.1066.6}

John :

5 table fan = Rs. 7200

1 table fan = Rs. 1440 / 5

=> \sf\large\underline\blue{Rs.1440}

If they bought 5 table fans then,

pankaj => 5 × 1066.6

=> \sf\large\underline\blue{Rs.5333}

John => 5 × 1440

=> \sf\large\underline\blue{Rs.7200}

Difference :

=> 7200 - 5333

=> \sf\large\underline\blue{Rs.1867}

☞ So, Pankaj got a better deal.

He saved Rs. 1867.
