Step-by-step explanation:

The speed of Monika's train is faster 32 km/hr.

Step-by-step explanation:

Paolo's train travels the distance in 35 minutes = 70 km

speed=\frac{distance}{time}

35 minute (35/60) = 0.58 hrs.

∴ The average speed of the Paolo's train = \frac{70}{0.5833}

= 120 km/hr

Monika's train travels 684 km.

It leaves at 16:15 and arrives at 20:45.

Time take to complete its journey = 20:45 - 16:15

= 4 hours 30 minutes = 4.5 hrs.

∴ The average speed of Monika's train = \frac{684}{4.5}

= 152 km/hr

Difference of average speed between both trains = 152 - 120

= 32 km/hr

The speed of Monika's train is faster 32 km/hr.
