Chandraguptha Maurya was one of the best kings in the history of the India. He was the founder of the mauryan dynasty. He conquered a lot of kingdoms with help and guidance of his philosopher, Kautilya ( also known as Chanakya). Some of the wars he fought included the one with Alexander the great, which he eventually lost but it still eventually ended in a truce between the two. One of his greatest accomplishments till date is the conquering of Magadha.
