When we talk about plagiarism, which is the first thing that comes to our mind? Copying and pasting to represent yourself with what is not yours. But again, Plagiarism may be unintentional. People may have similar thought processes leading to same representations. Plagiarism is of many forms. Sometimes it is copying material from the internet for making an assignment or copying information for coursework to get better results. Many people copy and paste material from different sources into their own work without mentioning the source of information. But it keeps getting worse. Easy use of technology leads to increased plagiarism. Today, there is greater competition among students. Now there are many sources of information than in the past. Online information, in particular, provides a large amount of information on every topic within seconds. Students now prefer to take ready made essays and materials instead of creating their owns. This also leads to the loss of creativity within the minds of students. Therefore, if initiatives are taken to avoid a charge of plagiarism then one must correctly mention the source of the information, quotation or sentence that have been copied from another source. Another good way to avoid internet plagiarism is to take just pointers from another source, in this way one will be forced to expand the pointers in his or hers own words. There will be two advantages of this approach, firstly the person will avoid a charge of it and secondly, it will allow him or her to comprehend the pointers completely and give him or her an ability to explain the pointers in their own specific way.
